Many businesses have trouble finding the right employees

Published:

Businesses simply cannot afford to have gaps in their workforce and employees that can't complete their jobs, so CareerBuilder created its "Talent Crunch" study to offer insight on how to fix the problem.

According to the research, 60 percent of responding companies have trouble filling their higher level positions such as chief executive officers, chief financial officers and chief marketing officers, while 54 percent experience difficulties finding employees who are qualified to work in their research and marketing divisions

“Prolonged vacancies can result in lower-quality work, lower sales and morale, and can cause a delay in creating other related positions within the organization," said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder. "Fortunately, we see more companies taking matters into their own hands and putting programs in place to retrain and transition workers into their industries and fields.”

In an attempt to lure more experienced employees, 25 percent of respondents said they plan to offer more flexible hours, while 22 percent can increase salaries, according to the survey.

The hiring process can often be difficult for employers, which is why they need necessary business insurance policies in case anything goes wrong when bringing on new employees.
